Progression of migraine video

Migraine

It’s the most common cause of headache. It torments approximately 15% of women and 6%
of men.It is basically a benign but recurring syndrome of headache, nausea, vomiting and/or a spectrum of other symptoms of neurologic dysfunction.

Its activators are :

Red wine,menses,hunger,lack of sleep,glare,estrogen,worry,perfumes,let-down periods

Its deactivators are:

Sleep,pregnancy,exhilaration,triptans

It has been classified and has several subtypes.

TREATMENT

Acupuncture and Migraine video

The first approach to preventing attack are nonpharmacological.
These are:

1.What triggers your migraine? Just avoid that.I have mentioned a few activators.
Overresponsiveness to everyday stress that even a normal person is exposed to
Is the problem. So anything that helps reduce stress helps.Eg.Yoga,meditation,
Hypnosis.

2.Manage environmental shifts like

Time-zone shifts
High altitude
Change in Weather
Change in barometric pressure
3. Assess menstrual cycle relationship

Several pharmacological approaches are available. The therapy must be individualized depending upon the patient concerned.

Advice:Don’t begin treatment on your own.A recurring headache could be a migraine.
Consult your doctor .He will guide you to identify the trigger factor.Excessive laptop glare or Digg addiction could be one.The treatment for you could be different from the treatment that one of your relative or friend might be receiving.
