Diggers are not "idiot"

A lot has been written on social bookmarking sites esp digg.com.A glance may make you feel this article would be no different from what you have read elsewhere.Though this blog is on “interesting health articles” , occasionally I would deviate from it.After all this is just a blog.
So getting back to digg.com ,I would like to tell you that for the past 2 weeks I have been using digg much more frequently than ever before.I have read a multiple times that digg users are “retard”.They don’t click on ads.They are like hordes of wild buffalo who pass by leaving behind trails of destruction,for instance, server breakdown,meaningless comments etc.

Now take a look at my own personal experience.In the last two week,

Stories submitted =15
Stories promoted=4
Stories buried=3
Stories not promoted=8

If a number of stories by a certain user get buried one after the other he looses credibility.For instance,three of my stories got buried in a sequence.I expected that as I have lost credibility with digg users my fourth one would also get buried.The next day I was amazed to see that it had got promoted.This was unlike other bookmarking sites. So this proves that stories submitted carries more weight than users credibility alone.If Mr Babyman ,a user with high popular ratio, submits a crap that wont get promoted,and may even get buried.So how do you say diggers are “retard”?

Now as far as the comments are concerned I would like to assert that it just reflects the true world that we live in. There is no hypocrisy.If one say offensive things others bury him and compensate it with cool and pleasing comments. So a balance is usually maintained.

Now what about the complaints that digger don’t click on ads?It seems quite logical.Logical! yes, we know that diggers comprise mostly of students .They are not the earning lot,hence, there is no point in clicking ads,landing on a page and then leaving it without purchasing anything.This way they help advertisers against any loss.So how come diggers are “retard” ?

Here I would like to point out that as against diggers ,propeller’s users are the earning lot .Data collected by other internet users have shown that most of the propeller users fall in the higher age group i.e 30+ or so. The result is that you get a lot of clicks on ads.

Finally,a word on the breaking down of your server.That’s your server’s fault not the diggers.
